Words to deeds
Via Woorden naar Daden (Words To Deeds) is an ongoing study of the relationship between language and (in)action in the context of policy making. In this workshop, we turn words into instructions, with the goal of actually carrying them out.
When we do not fully understand something, our language sometimes becomes woolly. In politically sensitive situations, our language often becomes shrouded. And while we so carefully choose the right words, we forget that these words should lead to deeds. That’s when language replaces action.
With this workshop and publication, Krepel aims to bring language within the world of policymaking back to what it is meant for: creating meaning and prompting action. Next year, the instructions and the visual documentation of their implementation will be compiled in a publication.
