Umeå is a young and rapidly growing university city in the north of Sweden. Characterised by openminded, trusting people full of initiative, who help each other forward. A process that listens, learns, and ultimately designs proposals that are better and more beautiful than what was. Whether it is products, urban development, interaction, research, or services. As city administration, we also practice what we preach: using design approaches to transform, celebrate experimentation, make our city more liveable and future thinking.
