Tour & Talk: Durf te falen!

What is the quality of unease in a design proces? How can you learn within a complex reality? Is shame a weakness or strength?

Stichting ENCOUNTER organises, in collaboration with the Embassy of Health, a visit of the installation and expo ENCOUNTER#9, Superhero or design zero? After the tour there is a talk about the project. ENCOUNTER#9 reflects on the role of designers in healthcare. With humor and irony, designer Joost van Wijmen positions himself as a unit-superhero. He includes the perspectives of the stakeholders that were involved in the project. Through this plurality he researches the relativity of success and failures.

Based on the experiences in the project and discussions with stakeholders, we share insights of this project and the friction of design processes. Together with researchers Barbara Groot, Lieke de Kock (Leyden Academy on Vitality and Ageing) and Désirée Bierlaagh (Practor bij het Centrum voor Innovatief Vakmanschap Welzijn & Zorg) we like to invite you to join the conversation on the value of failure.
