Signposts – Mobility Living Lab
During Dutch Design Week, visitors travel criss-cross through Eindhoven. We measure how they move between the different locations: on foot, by bike, by public transport or a Design Ride? By showing the route and travel time, we help visitors make considered choices.
Online, you can see the movements between different locations in a real-time data visualisation. In the city, there are signposts with QR codes. When you scan them, your phone opens the route to your destination. We track how often the codes are scanned, but do not follow you. So, no invasion of your privacy. Will you join us?
With this spatial experiment, Embassy of Mobility puts the role of mobility in public spaces on the agenda. Next year, we will incorporate the measurements in an intervention.
