Designing for experience – Knoop XL & HOV-Lijn
Keeping Eindhoven accessible, sustainable and attractive is of great importance. To better connect the Central Station and the city, the bus station will be moved underground, creating more space for housing and public facilities. At the same time, the entire public transport system will be renewed.
In addition to the functional aspects of these two major projects, the experience of future users and residents is also essential. That is why we are working to build support and acceptance, all with the goal of creating a vibrant and well-visited underground bus station and a high-quality bus line that people will enjoy using in the future.
To develop new concepts that put the user experience centre stage, the Eindhoven municipality, the Embassy of Mobility and Goudappel set to work with more than 30 Design Engineering students at TU Delft for the Advanced Concept Design course. Here, they share their initial findings.
