The time has finally come: DDW has kicked off! Today at 11:00 o’clock, all DDW locations opened their doors. Ready to welcome the visitors. We are looking forward to an inspiring edition of DDW! Will we see you there?
Next to all the exhibitions, the Embassies also organise an extensive additional programme during DDW. What can you find where and when? The Embassy of Circular & Biobased Building shows the sustainable house of the future in the middle of Ketelhuisplein. Explore the supermarket of the future during a visit to the Embassy of Food. Discover how you can contribute to the collective health at the Embassy of Health. Or how we can work together to create a more inclusive design field at the Embassy of Inclusive Society. In the Embassy of Mobility, explore different ways in which we can redesign mobility. Or discover how we can sustainably deal with plastic at the Embassy of Rethinking Plastic. The Embassy of Safety will also surprise you with special collaborations on the design of safety. And in the Embassy of Water, you can be surprised by the voice of water. How are you going from A to B at DDW?
The Brainport region is all about innovative solutions, also in the field of mobility. To keep the region liveable and accessible in a sustainable way, a pilot programme is active to put Mobility as a Service (MaaS) into practice. In this new way of travelling, you plan, book and pay for all your journeys from one smart travel app, the Turnn app. ASML and Municipality of Eindhoven have already done so! They use the app to facilitate commuting and business travel. Would you like to experience this new way of travelling in practice? Turnn organizes a unique pilot during DDW. With a special account, visitors will have access to a selection of features that can be chosen for business accounts. Plan and book your trip to your favourite expo by public transport, shared bicycle, shared scooter or shared car, for example.
