Jannis Kempkens | Circology

Mealworms eat polystyrene foam and convert it into proteins. All they leave behind in the end are chitin residues, the second most abundant biopolymer on earth after cellulose. And we can use that again as bioplastic. Designer Jannis Kemkes focuses on circular processes and started studio Circology and the platform Plasticula.
