EFGF en Nienke Hoogvliet | Bioplastic uit afvalwater

The Energy & Raw Materials Factory (EFGF) is investigating, on behalf of the water boards in the Netherlands, how energy and raw materials can be extracted from waste water. One of the projects involves making bioplastics using bacteria that purify wastewater. On the basis of three tables, designer Nienke Hoogvliet depicts the life cycle of this high-quality natural polyester, which is completely degradable in soil and compost installations, but also in fresh and salt water.
